Bewley's Dublin Airport Hotel has been a long time favorite of mine. The location is near to the airport, and there's a shuttle bus commuting to - and - fro from the airport to the hotel. Not an ideal location if you want to be near the city since it's 40 minutes away at least from the city by bus no. 16 from the airport. But the location itself makes it a quiet and tranquil retreat.
Breakfast is wholesome enough to last till lunch time. Minus the Irish breakfast of sausages and eggs and stuffs, they also offer fruits, yogurt, rolls, croissant and cereals. The breakfast is optional by the way. They also have this breakfast - on - the - go where they pack a breakfast bag for you (coffee, fruit, baked goods).
It has a park - and - fly policy. Seems to be a thing here to park your car somewhere as long as it's cheap and safe then fly off. Hence the row of cars from the view of the breakfast area.
The view from my room is awesome :D There's a huge field behind the hotel and everyday there are ponies grazing. On a day with good weather, you can enjoy such a view if your room is facing the field. Oh, the airplanes passed by too and weren't loud enough to disturb your sleep.
Of course, it lured me to go down and have a closer look at the ponies but I guess they were shy or something and I was kinda scared of them so I didn't pursue after them. But it was nice to just stand there quietly and watch them graze until the cold wind blew me back into my room. Yeah it was spring alright but the temperature was 10 degree Celsius, not bearable for someone like me who's used to warmer weather lol :p
Service is good and friendly. Daily change of towels if you want to, rooms clean and spacious, en suite bathroom with shower and hot water and basic amenities.
Oh, they have free wifi with pretty good connection strength in the rooms (mine was level 4).
